School bus drivers want recognition, increased pay

Several dozen school buses traversed neighborhoods in downtown Sherbrooke Monday morning at very speed in a “Yellow ride" aimed at increasing the visibility of their work so that the profession is recognized and that working conditions are improved. A study completed in 2015 is on the Quebec government's table regarding various demands related to the working conditions of school bus drivers. Several actors took part in the study, including the government itself, the bus drivers’ federation and the various school boards. See full story in the Wednesday, Feb. 7th edition of The Record.
