The Eastern Townships School Board held its final public meeting of the current academic year on Tuesday evening.
The bulk of the meeting was spent on regular housekeeping and rubber stamping, but more work will most definitely take place during the summer months to fill vacant job posts and prepare for a return to the classroom in the fall.
The board approved the appointment of Amy Gallant as the new principal (60 per cent principal, 40 per cent teacher) at Sunnyside Elementary School, replacing James Lemaitre, who is retiring.
