Sherbrooke artist says ‘just love each other!’ after anti-immigration ­pamphlets litter the city

By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – Sherbrooke residents found anti-immigration pamphlets in their mail, on their car windshields, or handed to them directly downtown over the weekend. The pamphlets cited a variety of far-right nationalist groups, suggesting that “mass immigration” leads to impoverishment and that it can cause the creation of ghettos. As a response to the gesture, local artist Carl Beauvais began distributing the iconic hot pink pieces of cloth that read “Aimez-vous crisse” on Saturday, which roughly translates to “******* love each other”.
