Sherbrooke-based carbon capture project a Canadian first

While the COP21 Climate conference takes place in Paris, a group of people much closer to home are doing their part to try to make a positive impact on the environment. From their offices at the Espace INC. Entrepreneurship incubator on Marquette Street, the team at Sherbrooke-based ECOTIERRA and representatives of the Hereford Community Forest announced the beginning of the Pivot Forestry project: a 100-year initiative focused on Carbon Dioxide reduction through incentive-driven conservation efforts.
“Pivot is the first root of a tree, its anchor;” said Guillaume Nadeau, Director of Operations and Communications for ECOTIERRA. “At the same time it represents a change of direction, a new way of doing things.”
