Hundreds marched in Sherbrooke on Friday afternoon as a part of the ongoing “Fridays for Future” climate movement. The rain, sometimes heavy, did nothing to stop the crowd of students and community members from making themselves seen and heard in support for action on climate change.
Sherbrooke’s march was coordinated by CEVES – U de S, a Université de Sherbrooke climate action group. It left Jacques Cartier Park around 1 p.m. and headed down King Street to end in Strathcona Square, in front of City Hall, just before 2:30 p.m.
