Record Staff – The City of Sherbrooke is joining 12 other Quebec municipalities that want to improve their drinking water performance and protect the health of the population. In 2016, Sherbrooke became involved in a program (PEXEP-D) for operations related to the treatment of drinking water at the J.-M.-Jeanson water treatment plant. For its second program, the approach concerns the distribution of drinking water between this station and the tens of thousands of buildings connected to it.
PEXEP-D was introduced in Quebec five years ago by Réseau Environnement. See full story in the Friday, March 8 edition of The Record.
