Sherbrooke conference focused on showing off what’s great about the Townships

More than 200 people from municipalities, community organizations, private businesses, and local agencies across the 9 MRCs of the Eastern Townships came together in Sherbrooke on Tuesday for a second conference on attracting newcomers to the region. “It is not through the work of any one individual or group that we will succeed, but through the combined efforts of the whole assembly,” said Hughes Grimard, President of the Table des MRCs de l’Estrie, Prefect of the Des Sources MRC, and Mayor of Asbestos, explaining that point of the group initiative is to work together across a wide range of different platforms to clearly demonstrate to people across the province the merits of living in the Eastern Townships.
