The Sherbrooke Elementary School (SES) community will have an opportunity to shine this week thanks to a virtual talent show prepared by music teacher Tracey Rivette.
After the show premieres for the school, with students zooming in to watch from their respective classrooms on Tuesday morning, the show will be posted on the school’s Facebook page for parents and supporters to enjoy until this Sunday.
“We’re trying our best to keep arts alive,” Rivette said, explaining her motivation to put the show together.
In a normal year, the students at SES and other Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) schools would have plenty of opportunities to perform concerts, musical interludes, theatre productions, host art shows and display countless other talents.
There is also the ETSB’s annual United in Music festival, bringing hundreds of students from across the Townships together in song, unfortunately on hold again this year.
