The biggest sporting event in Sherbrooke since the 2013 Canada Summer Games is just under two weeks away. Starting August 28, more than 2,000 young athletes representing 40 different canoe and kayak clubs across the country will converge on Sherbrooke’s Lac des Nations to compete in the 2018 Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships. “Things are stressful, but it is a good kind of stress,” said Nicholas Lemay, President of the organizing committee for the competition as well as the Club Nautique de Sherbrooke, explaining that there is still a great deal of work to be done before the events get started at the end of the month.
