Sherbrooke prend la parole, a community group focused on making poetry more accessible to the general public, has launched an eighth edition of its annual poetry collection. Until February 14, 2022, amateur and professional poets in the community are invited to submit one work each of no more than 300 words, in prose, or 25 lines, in verse, on the theme of Foret Urbaine (urban forest).

Anyone looking to participate is required to fill out a registration form online in addition to sending one submission by email to parcours.de.poesie.splp@gmail.com. Poems must be submitted in the form of a Word document using 12 point Times New Roman font.

In the past the writings selected from the collection have been posted in shop windows along Wellington Street in Sherbrooke as a part of the “parcours de poésie,” in the spring.
