Sherbrooke in lockdown: limited activities

As of Saturday, the Townships tightened their lockdown measures surrounding recreational activities to discourage indoor and outdoor gatherings.
On Jan. 8, Sherbrooke mayor Steve Lussier told The Record Sherbrooke had a daily average of 30 to 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19. While he said the numbers are relatively low, stricter measures will help prevent further spreading.
According to Daniel Picard, general director of the city of Sherbrooke, part of these measures includes limiting access to the Centre Julien-Ducharme Sports Complexe and the Centre Récréatif De Rock Forest. While indoor skating will not be allowed, all 11 outdoor ice rinks will remain open during the lockdown, but they will be limited to 25 people or less. Still, hockey games with people outside of your home-bubble, are highly discouraged by the city.
