Sherbrooke Paralympian eyes redemption in Tokyo

Jonathan Vermette started his wheelchair basketball career in Sherbrooke, playing on a small team assembled by his father Jacques, and now the 30-year-old is preparing for his second appearance at the Paralympic Games.
Vermette was on the fence about participating in this year’s Games in Tokyo, Japan. Following his first stint at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil five years ago, Vermette wanted to focus on school. He studied urban planning at Université du Québec à Montréal.
