In the face of increased tensions between Canada and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the City of Sherbrooke chose last week to renew its support for imprisoned Saudi blogger Raif Badawi and his family by installing two new banners in front of City Hall. These replace the banners that had been hanging on the main staircase of City Hall and which had to be removed due to construction work on the building.
