The Association des locataires de Sherbrooke, a non-profit organization that defends tenants’ rights and promotes social housing, camped outside the office of Sherbrooke MP Élisabeth Brière on Wednesday morning to denounce the lack of affordable housing in the province.
The group of roughly two dozen people pulled out several folding chairs, making themselves comfortable for a long sit-in. They also arrived equipped with plastic water bottles, hot dogs and a large grill, as they prepared for a little roadside cookout.
