Sherbrooke’s new auditor general Yves Denis was at Sherbrooke’s city council on Tuesday to present the annual report prepared by his predecessor, Andrée Cossette. The report, available on the city of Sherbrooke’s website in full, contains seven chapters, including four performance audits and one compliance audit, covering matters ranging from an analysis of the city’s updated zoning law to investigations into the management of the Sherbrooke airport and a follow up on past recommendations regarding the upkeep of the city’s public transit fleet.
Denis was hired to replace the outgoing auditor in April but did not start his new role until June 13, leaving the presentation of the report to him despite its having been compiled by Cossette.
