Winter is officially upon us, and it’s the start of the holiday season for many Quebecers this week. To the delight of Quebec skiers and snowboarders, ski resorts will continue to welcome them to practice their favourite sport. The Association des stations de ski (Quebec Ski Resorts Association) du Québec is asking for everyone’s cooperation to ensure that the next few weeks are safe and that activities are maintained throughout the upcoming season.

The return of colder temperatures and the snow received in the last few days will allow teams to make snow and work on the trails in order to expand the skiable area.

“Today we are calling on the vigilance of snow sports enthusiasts to respect the sanitary measures in place in the resorts. The latter are taking all the necessary steps to ensure that winter activities remain safe for visitors and their employees,” said Yves Juneau, President and CEO of the Quebec Ski Resorts Association in a press release. “Following public health guidelines and complying with sanitary measures is truly a shared responsibility that allows us to protect everyone’s health, both on the mountain and in our daily lives,” Juneau said.
