Solar power and water research showcased in U de S investments

A small cluster of politicians from across all levels of government was at the University of Sherbrooke on Monday morning for the announcement of a $12.13 million investment in that school’s research and innovation facilities. The funding, which is coming from a combination of Federal and Provincial sources, will be used for infrastructure projects revolving around an environmental theme.
“We talk a lot about sustainable development, but fundamentally what we are trying to do is innovate,” said Alain Webster, Vice-Dean of Sustainable Development. “We want not just to respond to the needs of society, but also to create a new and more prosperous society together.”
