By Matthew McCully – As part of provincial animal sterilization week organized by the Association of Veterinary Surgeons of Quebec (AMVQ), the Eastern Townships SPA announced the official opening of a low-cost targeted sterilization clinic.
Offered on an ad hoc basis throughout the year, the new clinic will sterilize cats, male or female, for $60 (taxes included).
The service, made possible thanks to a $250,000 contribution from PetSmart Charities of Canada, will be available to low-income families.  The first opportunity to take advantage of the program will be April 5. See full story in the Wednesday, Feb. 27 edition of The Record.
