The Town of Stanstead’s April 12 meeting opened with the resignation of Joshua Richer, councillor for Seat 5. Mayor Philippe Dutil read Richer’s letter to council explaining the reason for his departure and thanked him for his past three years of service to the municipality.
In his resignation letter Richer said that since the sale of his property in September, 2020 he has been living temporarily in another town.
