Submitted by Robbie Fisk, Athletic Director, Alexander Galt – Svea Stemmann and Jordan Roy have been named Piper Athletes of the month for January at Alexander Galt Regional High School. In the three ETIAC swim meets during the month, Stemmann won nine gold medals in the nine races she competed in. Whether it is in the backstroke, freestyle, butterfly or relay races, she has dominated the field from beginning to end. As part of the International program offered by the School Board, she has been a welcome addition to the school and swim team. Formerly from Germany, she brings an outstanding work ethic to every practice, as she is highly motivated and ambitious to be successful.
