Submitted by Sunnyside Elementary School – On Friday April 5, the Grade 5 students of Sunnyside Elementary completed a month long project titled “Farm 2 Fork”. This project was a springboard from a wonderful Canadian documentary on food source titled “Before the Plate.” This documentary was done with the Canoe Restaurant’s executive chef John Horne as he followed the journey of 10 main ingredients back to their primary farm origins. Sunnyside students visited a robot Jersey farm, Lencrest de la Vallee and then continued the journey to La Pinte milk plant in Ayer’s Cliff where the Jersey milk is bottled.  See full story in the Thursday, April 11 edition of The Record.
