Technical error at Mont-Orford causes upset

An error on the Mont-Orford website last week led some local students to believe the ski resort was offering free Unlimited Season Passes for any students aged 13-25 with a valid student ID card. Normally, unlimited season passes for students cost a total of $332.28 after factoring in the taxes and insurance on the pass, but due to the error, customers were only charged for the standard pass insurance, making the cost $51.74 after taxes.
Although the online purchasing process was disabled on the same day the error occurred and the price returned to normal the following day, several deal-seekers, including the Bishop’s University Ski and Snowboard Club (BU Snow), made purchases the resort later declared invalid.
