Though all is quiet at the midpoint of Quebec’s two-week summer construction holiday, Townshippers would do well to note that a number of significant public works projects are due to get started as of next Monday, Aug. 8.
In East Angus, work to repair the bridge allowing Highway 112 to cross the Saint Francis River will begin next week and last until the end of the construction season in November, before picking up again next year. Given the high volume of traffic that uses the bridge as a crossing point, the ministry of transport has planned to alternate traffic across the span throughout the work, except for during occasional complete closures needed for specific work.
