The Theatre des Petits Lanternes (TPL) was founded in Sherbrooke in October of 1998 by a group of artists and people from different levels of society with the shared vision of connecting people across cultures and communities by bringing them into the creative process together. Creating and co-creating works that draw inspiration and insight from the big and small lived experiences of people all over the world, the company has helped draft a vast body of works that not only entertain, but also engage with their audiences on social and emotional levels. Kristelle Holliday, the company’s General Manager and co-Artistic Director, said that in its 20th season TPL finds itself at a challenging yet fascinating crossroads of art, culture, community, and social engagement.
