The Grace Village Care Foundation recently received a donation of $3,400 from the organizers of the annual Bishop’s University Charity Fashion Show, even though the event itself never took place. According to a press release issued by the foundation, the money was raised through the Fall and Winter Semesters by the student volunteers through smaller fundraising events which usually precede the main attraction.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, hosting such a large gathering was not possible.
“We want to take this time to appreciate the efforts of these students in raising this amount,” said David Price, President of the foundation. “During these hard days of the pandemic, it is encouraging to see young people supporting the seniors in their community.”
The Grace Village Care Foundation also expressed thanks to the donors who attended or supported the events that the Bishop’s University Charity Fashion Show team hosted. The funds raised will go towards the Dr. Klinck Fund for Resident Support. This fund supports residents who cannot afford the full cost of care.
