After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the U11 Mousquiri National Tournament returns this year, Feb. 6-19 at the P.E. Lefebvre Arena in Richmond.

For this edition, now in its 58th year, access to the arena will be free for all spectators for the 13 days of the tournament.

“It feels good to be back and to be able to host a tournament again this year,” President Jocelyne Morel commented in a press release about the upcoming tournament. “Our volunteers and sponsors have responded well to the call.and we can count on a sufficient number of referees despite the shortage of officials that exists throughout Quebec,” Morel added.

A total of 49 teams will compete in the 90 games on the schedule. The tournament will host 14 two-letter teams in AA and BB classes and 35 teams in A, B and C classes.

The tournament format remains the same as it has been in the past, with all registered teams guaranteed to play a minimum of three games.
