As the cast joyously sings in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical Carousel, “June is bustin’ out all over!”
Theatre Lac Brome may not be on stage, but we are working behind the scenes and waiting in the wings to bring you the best of what TLB has to offer.
Our first main-stage English theatre production that was set to begin rehearsals in June for a July opening is now on hold… but we have lots to fill you in on this month! Our jam-packed June newsletter will be a two-parter.
Here is the first part. Look out for part II on June 19!
Speaking of jam… TLB would like to announce that from Saturday, June 6 to October 10, the Farmers’ Market will be held in the theatre’s parking lot and grounds. This new location will ensure a safer environment for proper social distancing. Buy fresh and buy local!
Despite being closed to the public, the paintings of our June artist, Susan Pepler, are currently on display in our lobby gallery and are designed to make you feel good! Her mission as an artist has always been to uplift people’s hearts with her work. Susan’s studio is open by appointment. You can peek through our lobby windows to catch a few of her masterpieces, the true definition of window-shopping!
Actor and writer Marie-Ève Perron, scheduled to do her show De ta force de vivre following its run at La Licorne, has been very busy.
T’es belle Maryse, the screenplay she wrote with Maxime Desmons, is one of four projects supported by the Canadian Film Centre and Netflix, and you can catch her on the Rouge FM radio show L’été, c’est fantastique as a guest commentator. It airs from 4 pm to 6 pm as of June 29th on 107.3 FM.
