Theatre troupe Les Matinclairs supports Aube-Lumière

Guy Gagnon, a volunteer at La Maison Aube-Lumière for the past few years and member of local theatre troop Les Matinclairs, presented a cheque for $10,100 to the palliative care centre Wednesday. The funds were raised by staging a production of Vivement lundi! written by Carole Tremblay. The show had a two-day run at the Salle Québécor du Salésien. This is the second production put on by Les Matinclairs in support of the Sherbrooke palliative care centre and it was nothing short of a success. Last year, Les Matinclairs put on their first theatre production for Aube-Lumière and they raised more than $9,000. Vivement lundi! attracted over 625 spectators during its two-day run and with the impressive turnout raised a grand total of $10,100 for Aube-Lumière. The actors that took part in the production worked with an 80-page script and started rehearsing in September of last year to put on a high-quality performance in honor of the organization.
