Quebec’s labour laws do not require businesses to close or modify their hours for the Thanksgiving long weekend, meaning that aside from businesses that made the individual decision to take the day off, things should be business as usual in most retain environments this coming Monday.
That being said, people should keep an eye out for modifications to schedules in federally regulated businesses like banks and the post office, as well as in other services outside of the retail sector.
The Sherbrooke bus company, the STS, will be running its vehicles using the weekend schedule on Monday, and offering adapted transit from 8 a.m. to midnight. Its administrative offices and customer service counters will be closed, however.
