The Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund is celebrating its tenth year of operation in the MRC of Coaticook. Since it started, the fund has donated over $1.6 million to organizations in the area. Though the organization is based in Coaticook, its scope of operations spans several towns within the Townships. “We cover from Stansted to Cookshire with Coaticook at the center,“ explained Michael Everett, President of the fund. Everett gave a few examples of local groups that have received support, including the Lennoxville and District Women’s Centre, Community Aid Meals on Wheels, and Operation Backpack. “We also donate to schools and education like Phelps Helps,” Everett said.

The Regional Fund places a substantial importance on the funding of health services, education, youth and elderly support, and basic needs of the community. To support these causes, the Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund continues to donate up to $10,000 per organization through calls for funding twice a year.

Since its foundation in 2012, the Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund has donated to plenty of causes within the local area. Established by the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund as a pillar of support for small local non-profit organizations, they have contributed immensely to numerous programs and causes by donating large sums to organizations in need. “We’ve donated about $100,000 twice a year for the past several years,” said Everett. “We’ve tried to help out and ensure the basic needs of people.”
