The decision of the United States’ Supreme Court on Friday to overturn the ruling that provided the constitutional right to abortion in that country inspired protests throughout the US and Canada over the weekend. The Fédération du Québec pour le planning des naissances (FQPN) coordinated a series of protests outside courthouses across the province on Sunday as a show of solidarity for U.S. pro-choice groups, including one in Sherbrooke that was facilitated by local pro-choice groups such as the Collectif pour le libre choix and SOS Grossesse Estrie.
