Troubling tax bill for Sherbrooke farmer

By Matthew McCully – Lucie Caron of Robindale Jersey Farm in Brompton thought her tax troubles were over in 2010 when she and 12 other agricultural producers banded together to point out inequalities in how land evaluations for agricultural properties in Sherbrooke were done. They won the fight after sharing the $7,000 cost to commission a formal report, which was submitted to the city. Caron realized recently that the same inequalities have crept back into her land evaluations.
