Two motorists were injured in separate incidents after a section of road collapsed early Thursday morning in Town of Brome Lake. Quebec provincial police spokesperson Sgt. Aurélie Guindon said the incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on Fulford Rd, which runs parallel to Highway 10. The road’s drainage ditch flooded due to heavy rains, splitting the street into two parts. The hole on Fulford Road is approximately 3.5 metres deep and 6 metres across, police say.
