Two Sherbrooke residents honoured for exceptional merit

By Matthew McCully – In the lead up to National Organ and Tissue Donation Week, the City of Sherbrooke hosted a ceremony Thursday at City Hall to award Dr. Richard Tremblay, President of the Canadian Organ Donation Association, and Dr. Javier Teijeira, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon with the Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal for Exceptional Merit. “Quebec society owes you a lot. The work that you do has helped preserve life and give hope. Altruism guided your actions. You are they type of people that every society badly needs,” commented J.
