Yannis Mallat, CEO for the Canadian studios of the video game company Ubisoft, was in Sherbrooke on Tuesday to meet with students at the Université de Sherbrooke and present his company’s plan for the next five years. “Right now video games produced by our Canadian studios host roughly 25 million active players per month. That’s three times the population of Quebec that connects to our servers at least once per month,” Mallat said, explaining that the company’s goal is to raise that number to 200 million by 2025. “In other words, it took us 20 years to get to 25 million, and we’re giving ourselves six to get to 200 million.” See full story in the Thursday, March 28 edition of The Record.
