Union workers protest in Lennoxville

The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), one of the largest workers’ unions in the country, held a protest outside of the Centre de recherche et de développement (CRD) de Sherbrooke Thursday morning, calling for a new collective agreement.

Barrière said there has been little to no response from the Treasury Board of Canada or Agriculture Canada. The union held three negotiations over Zoom during the pandemic, he explained, and each time the treasury showed less and less interest in the workers’ issues.
