Editor’s Note: In early April, Managing Editor Matthew McCully did newspaper workshops for several groups of students at St. Francis Elementary School in Richmond. The following article was written by one of the students, excited to get the word out about an upcoming fundraiser at the school.

Join us at the upcoming Babies and Kids Bazaar, taking place on Saturday, April 22 at St. Francis Elementary School in Richmond.

The event is a fundraiser for the Grade 6 end-of-year trip to the waterslides.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the bazaar, which will place in the gymnasium of the school, located at 355 Rue du Collège South, will start at 8:30 a.m. and run until 1:30 p.m.

We are selling baked goods, slime, soap, toys, clothing, board games, and much more that you might want to see!

Ask your family, friends and neighbours to come visit.

Students participated in the planning of the bazaar to learn many entrepreneurial skills such as leadership, responsibility and perseverance.

Forty tables will be filled with bargain items that surrounding community families wish to sell. We all hope you find what you’re looking for.

Adrian from St. Francis said, “There were all the things you could ever imagine in there.” Another student mentioned that many games are often available for sale at the Babies and Kids Bazaar.

Everybody is welcome and we all hope to see you there!
