On Sunday, Oct 2, Chaplain Alain Larochelle was installed as a new member and the official Padré of the Eastern Townships Veterans’ Committee during a ceremony at the Nativité de Jésus Parish church on Morris Street in Sherbrooke.
The installation took place following the 10 a.m. Mass, in front of all those assembled for the service. It was presided over by committee President Robert Groulx, assisted by Vice-President Gilles Viger and parish priest Yves Perreault. The ceremony included the integration of the chaplain into the committee as well as the presentation of a star, blessed by the priest, in the committee’s official
colours.
