December and January birthdays were celebrated at the Wales Home on Wednesday afternoon with bingo, snacks, tea and gifts organized by members of the Richmond United Church. According to Activity Coordinator Carol-Ann McElrea, birthdays at the home are celebrated on a monthly basis with the help of a rotating collection of volunteers from the local community, although the December and January were celebrated together in light of the amount of activity already scheduled in the last month of the year.
