Waterville held a ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to honour its volunteer firefighters with 20 or more years of service and present them with the Governor General’s Canadian Firefighter Exemplary Service Medal.
Firefighters with 5, 10 and 15 years of service were also recognized for their involvement with the Waterville station. The medals were presented jointly by the Mayor of Waterville, Nathalie Dupuis, Patrick Giguère, Director of the Waterville Fire Department and Gaétan Lafond, City Councillor responsible for public safety.
