Weekend hazing group identified as BU Football team

A representative of Bishop’s University has confirmed that the loud group of students who were recorded making their way through the streets of Lennoxville last Saturday night in what appeared to be an initiation activity were members of the Gaiters football team.
Although The Record received no response to questions on the matter from Gaiters Head coach Chérif Nicolas, the school’s director of communications, Olivier Bouffard, said that the events recorded on Saturday “involved student athletes from the Gaiters football team.”
“The processes outlined for such circumstances in the Student Athlete Code of Conduct as well as the Hazing Policy will now be underway with the relevant persons involved over the coming week(s).”
