Wellington Street South was completely closed on Wednesday as the construction crane that has been in use for months in the construction of the Espace Centro development was dismantled. Over the course of the day the massive framework was disassembled piece by piece and carefully lowered to the ground to be packed up onto trucks and carried away. Due to the nature of the work, the deconstruction had to be planned for a day with low wind.
The road closure is expected to continue through the day on Thursday.
