The Desjardins-Windsor Wild fell 5-3 in the seventh and deciding game of the Regional Hockey League final against the Cougars in Warwick on Sunday afternoon.

Raphaël Gagnon’s second goal of the series broke a 3-3 tie at 15:29 of the third period and Marc-Antoine Chartier scored the insurance goal with 24 seconds left in the game.

The team, led by Sebastien Letarte, had managed to take a 2-0 lead in the first minutes of the game.

Anthony Fortier scored his first goal of the series at 3:47 followed by Christophe Lebel-Duplessis’ eighth goal of the series almost seven minutes later.

The Cougars responded with two goals in just over two minutes in the following moments. Alex Lessard and Gabriel Guillemette made it 2-2 after 20 minutes.
