Windsor clears out summer schedule

Looking ahead to summer, the Town of Windsor announced several cancellations or modifications to regular summer programming schedule on Friday. Made in order to conform to requirements from the Provincial Government, the decisions impact all public events until August 31.
The annual Fête de la famille, musical performances at du Centenaire Park, and the film screenings at Camping Watopeka have all been cancelled, but the conversation is ongoing with regard to the town’s summer day camp and municipal pool. According to a press release issued by the town, Windsor’s municipal administration is operating in planning mode with regard to the camp while waiting for more information from the Province.
If the camp is allowed to open as hoped on June 29, the town advises parents to keep in mind that the services will need to be adjusted to meet social distancing and sanitary guidelines. Those who are interested in having a child participate are invited to register on the town’s website at http://www.villedewindsor.qc.ca/espace-citoyen/
With regard to the pool and splashpad, nothing is certain at this point, but citizens are once again advised to expect limitations and restrictions on capacity and schedule if the services are allowed to open at all.
In the meantime all parks, playgrounds, dog parks, sports fields and areas in the community remains closed until further notice.
