The Sûreté du Québec has identified and located the witness sought in the case of the abduction of a young girl last Wednesday in Sutton. The girl was adducted while on her way to school by two unidentified men in a mini-van. It is alleged that the girl, a bank employee’s relative, was to be held for ransom. The girl’s captors brought her to a vacant house for sale on Ch. des Fougères, from where he managed to escape. Police located the suspect vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, Friday, but are still on the lookout for a light-coloured Econoline-type van suspected of being involved. The witness had been seen at the Tim Hortons in Lac-Brome in the morning on the day of the kidnapping. Police have declined to release more information so as not to interfere with the ongoing investigation. The police are still searching for the two suspects involved in this case.
