Sherbrooke resident donates funds for  adapted wheelchair

Fernand Courchesne ran up and down Mont Orford 19 times on Sept. 19 and 20, which is the equivalent distance to reach the top of Mount Everest, to raise funds for Sherbrooke Shared Runs.
Courchesne embarked on a transformative year in lead up to the climb. He wanted to lose weight and adopt a more active lifestyle. He created the Everest-Orford Challenge as a milestone for all of his hard work.
But while the challenge was one of personal health, Courchesne also takes pride in his affiliation with Shared Runs, a group that a group that connects runners with people who have lost the use of their legs.
