Reaching out to seniors through the airwaves

In an effort to provide some comfort to seniors during the holiday season, CJMQ will air a Culture for Seniors Holiday Radio Show on Dec. 24, 26 and 27.
The program is designed for seniors and was made possible thanks to partnerships including Culture for Seniors, Townshippers’ Association, The Record, CJMQ, and with the financial support of United Way.

In order to reach seniors and bring them a little cheer in these difficult times, the show will feature Blue Celt, a musical duo from Saint-Camille, and Patti Warnock, a storyteller from Danville. Ed Humphrey (Townshippers’ Association) will be hosting the show and promises warmth and a variety and humour for the one-hour special.
With Culture for Seniors’ mission in mind and in compliance with the current health measures, the radio program is a creative way to promote the social participation of seniors through art and culture.
