Provincial government launches new technical support system for seniors

Municipalities involved with Quebec’s Municipalité amie des aînés (MADA) program will be given a new and improved technical support system.
Seniors Minister Marguerite Blais made the announcement on Friday. The added support will be used to help municipalities provide living arrangements and lodging through the sustainable housing for seniors project.
The project, in its second phase, was awarded $299,000 from the Québec ami des aînés (QADA) for an Ecobuilding initiative. The funding is spread out over two years. Quebec wants to provide municipalities with tools to create accessible and safe housing for seniors.
The Quebec government also launched another call for projects, which closes on Nov. 30, 2021. There is an application guide at http://www.batimentdurablepouraines.org/, where people will have access to technical data sheets, diagnostic grids and webinars.
