More than $1 million has been invested in two mobile units, a bus and a trailer, that will travel to communities throughout the Estrie for COVID-19 screening and vaccination.
The bus will hit the road May 19, headed for Magog, while the trailer will be ready later this summer.
The project to develop the new mobile units was funded through a collaboration between 11 CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS foundations, in partnership with the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS). The bus being used was part of the STS fleet for the last 16 years and will now be given a new life as a mobile unit.
