Blue-green algae once again makes its return to local lakes this summer with the effects of global warming improving the growth conditions for the toxic blooms.
The past few years have seen a steady increase in density and how early the algae blooming appears, leading to the need for an awareness of how to fight the harmful organism.
Executive Director of Memphrémagog Conservation inc. (MCI), Ariane Orjikh, commented on how the situation has been for Lake Memphrémagog.
